I love this. It's exactly what my inner hippie wants to wear. I usually get a medium in tops, but got a large in this, and I'm glad I did. It's pretty fitted, but not tight. I can wear a thin sleeved shirt under it, but a sweatshirt or heavy sweater would be too much. It would be perfect with a tee shirt. I'd suggest getting a size larger than normal, or even two if you plan on wearing this over thicker clothing. The odd thing about this is the hood. It's super-long and comes to a point. Sort of elf-like. It's so long, that it's actually longer than the jacket in the back. When I put the hood up, it doesn't stay very well. More of a cowl-type hood than a sweatshirt type. It can be tied, but I usually treat hoods like a decoration rather than a warmth thing. And if I'm wearing this in cool rather than cold weather, I won't need the hood anyway. to shorten it, I tied a knot in it near the end. That works. The hood is zipped on, so it can also be easily removed, but I didn't like the way the collar looked without the hood, so I'll keep it on.

These are really cute but not designed for women with ANY kind of hips or butt. Very straight and narrow. I am 5'-3"- 130lbs and ordered a small according to their size chart. It fit very well everywhere but in the hips. A medium would be too big on me, I think, so I didn't exchange.
